The Ute Trail climbs between Arrowhead Village and Bachelor Gulch, creating great options for loops with nearby trails. The trail is non-technical and it climbs casually for the most part, with a few more aerobically challenging sections. Hikeers can descend on the Apache Trail which is on your left, .6 miles from the top of the Ute trail.
The trail is multi-use and has steady hiker and biker traffic in summer. The first 0.75 miles at the bottom receive full afternoon sun, then the trail moves to shady forest for the remainder of the climb.
