This trail is mostly located on Kelly Canyon leased property. During summer months it is now open to mountain bikes and they have requested no running on the ski hill trails the days that lifts are running for the mountain bikers. No motorized vehicles allowed. Leaning Fir Trail #169 is closed at the northern end from December 1 to May 1.

This trail is nice and easy and can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. While many will choose to hike or run in this area, you can easily mountain bike as well. There are a few good points to look out over the mountain range to the north along the way, and then Kelly Mountain itself overlooks the Snake River. The trail used to be available for ATVs and other motorized vehicles, but that has now been prohibited. So the trails are nice and wide, but you won't have to worry about ATVs or motorcycles running you over.
