Description
This is a very popular path for running, jogging, family biking, stroller joggers, and walking. The path is paved and follows the San Luis Obispo Creek. The eastern half of the trail is mostly shaded while the western portion is mostly full sun but the nearby creek helps to cut the heat. Parking areas for this trail are in Avila Beach, off of the third round-a-bout exit on Bay Laurel Place (near Avila Beach Drive and San Luis Bay Drive intersection) or Ontario Road (between Avila Beach Drive and San Luis Bay Drive).
