Description
Starting at the intersection with Fox Creek Loop, North Fork Loop begins with a loose, short climb. The trail quickly turns into a smooth and easy-graded descent with some prominent technical features. The trail then presents another grinding climb. Slowly, but surely, North Fork Loop gets closer and closer to the Wood River. At the top of this climb there is beautiful vista. Take a rest here and prepare for another loose descent! After descending a little ways, the trail takes a 180 degree righthand turn to stay on North Fork Loop. From here on, the trail runs right next to the Wood River and undulates with steep ups and downs. You'll be presented with a few rugged sections and the views of the creek are awesome - don't get distracted and hike off the trail!
