Description
This short, but challenging trail is a steady climb from the Baker Pass Trail #29.1 to the junction with the Never Summer Trail #1141 on the northern saddle of Farview Mountain. The trail skirts the southern short of Parika Lake, which is a popular backcountry camping location. Once past the lake, the trail heads uphill more steeply, countouring below the ridge before climbing more steeply up a switchback to gain the saddle. There are a couple rocky sections where you'll want to watch your footing, but overall, the trail is well-defined and easy to follow. Be sure to look back over your shoulder as you climb as the view back to Parika Lake is stunning.
