Path Type
Loop
The route begins at Grays Peak Trailhead at the end of Stevens Gulch Road and follows the Grays Peak Trail southwest up the drainage. The trail climbs steadily through open tundra and talus, gaining significant elevation before reaching the broad saddle between Grays and Torreys Peaks. From the saddle, turn right and follow the trail to the summit of Grays Peak. Return to the saddle, then continue northwest along the ridge to the summit of Torreys Peak. The connecting ridge is straightforward tundra and talus walking with minimal technical difficulty. Both summits sit on the Continental Divide with expansive views north toward the Front Range and south toward the Mosquito Range. Descend from Torreys back to the saddle and return to the trailhead via the Grays Peak Trail.
