Point to Point
The trailhead is located on Abbott Drive just off of Highway 14 in Red Rock Canyon State Park. The trail is a short one mile loop that is easily accessible for just about any experience level. Hagen Canyon is one of the more scenic areas of the park, which also makes it one of the most popular. There are towering colorful cliffs that the trail wanders below with constantly changing scenery as you hike back through the tilted layers of strata. If you know where to look, you can find rock windows and the famous "Camel Rock." There is also a rich film history in this canyon, particularly among old westerns.
The trail is fairly level with very little elevation difference. However, it does cross and follow the wash in multiple places, which is something to consider if hiking during a period of rainfall. The best times to go are during the spring and autumn seasons.
