Description
The Hatchet Lake Trail is a connector between Minong Ridge Trail and Greenstone Ridge Trail, offering access to Hatchet Lake and the Hatchet Lake Campground. This connector trail is a good option for hikers looking to make a shorter loop utilizing these two longer trails. The majority of the trail is gently rolling, heading through dense trees and underbrush that are intensely green in the summer. Near the end of the trail (if hiking north to south) hikers can connect with the Hatchet Lake Spur to access the lake and campground. After this junction, the trail ascends steeply to climb the ridge and connect with the Greenstone Ridge Trail.
