Description
This rail-banked section from McPherson to Lindsborg was started back in the 90's, but has really made progress in the past few years. The trail is very well maintained by Central Kansas Conservancy; some of the weeds in the trail had been hand-pulled that morning after I talked with a group of men building a covered bridge that day. There is a five-mile section of trail missing right now; they are currently working with some land owners that aren't exactly interested in sharing the rail-banked land with them for development. I'll be monitoring their progress and update the trail map as soon as changes happen.
