Description
Access the trail via the parking lot at 5390 Rotary Road, Rockford, IL. Head north on the paved driveway and take an immediate left onto the unpaved trail. Cross the creek, and follow the trail through the forest. You'll arrive in a seldom-used primitive group campground at 0.4 miles. At 0.5 miles, the trail becomes paved. Followed the pavement past the old Camp Rotary lodge and all the way back out to the parking area. You can make this route slightly longer and more natural by using the Forest Trail as an alternative route.
