Description
Leave the road and head down an old abandoned jeep trail until you cross the creek and go up a short tough climb that takes you to the singletrack. It's technical at first and takes you to a sandy section with a short and very steep climb. From there you are up on a bench with smooth singletrack and several creek crossings. These lead you to the Crystal Hill, a spectacular side cut that suns along a hill completely covered with Calcite Crystal. Stop and look around but please don't walk on the crystals. There is a rocky descent with several short ledges from there back to the old road. At the road, turn right to head further out or left to make a short hike back to the trailhead.
