Point to Point
This trail does not let up. It climbs all the way to the pass. You peek out of the trees occasionally along the way for a view of rock outcroppings and open meadows. The last 3/4 of a mile are above treeline and the trail disappears; follow the cairns to the pass. If you lose sight of the next cairn, just keep climbing up to the saddle. You'll find the trail picks up again there, and it heads down the other side near the rock outcropping.
The descent to Lower Turquoise Lake starts with a nice gentle traverse before dropping rapidly to the lake.
