There and Back
Some hilly sections that your legs will feel but nothing too hard. Really great views and depending on the season you might pass a few streams. We went in March after some rain and the hills were nice and green. There's not a ton of tree cover on McCorkel so it will get very hot in the summer. Take Camp Ohlone Road to McCorkel Trail. rxH McCorkel Trail until you hit Cerro Este Road and take a left. You'll eventually hit McCorkel Trail again on your right. Navigating really isn't difficult. You'll have some excellent views throughout the hike especially of Calaveras Reservoir. Dogs aren't allowed overnight.
