Miners Creek is a wonderful trail very close to the town of Creede, Colorado. It doesnat offer grand viewpoints but it has some good mountain scenery and the constant sound of Miners Creek, which it follows the entire way. The trail extends all the way to the Continental Divide, about 10 miles, and climbs nearly 3,500 feet. This adventures follows the trail for the over 2 miles until it starts to climb out of the creek drainage and get steeper. This is a very popular mountain bike trail as well. Starting at the end of Miners Creek Road, the trail has several creek crossings in the early segment. The first two crossings might be impassible in early summer of a normal rainfall year, but in June of 2018, the crossings were pretty easy. Much of the trail is in the deep woods with occassional views of the surrounding peaks. The aspen are very prolific as the trail climbs, and fall color here would be spectacular.
