The TH is a couple of miles east of the 24/27 bridge going over the PeeDee River. The parking area accesses both trails (Dutchman's Creek Trail #98 and Uwharrie National Recreation Trail), though on opposite sides of the parking area.I started by heading up Dutchman's Creek Trail #98. This trail is marked with yellow blazes and heads north past where it connects, after 6.5 miles, with the Uwharrie. Uwharrie takes you back to the TH after 5 miles. This trail rolls, without any substantial climbs, and crosses several creeks. All crossings were accomplished with dry feet. There aren't any splendid views. It isn't so much what you can see as much as what you travel through. It is just a great, enjoyable singletrack (with no mountain bikes), that can be extended, if so desired.
