From the junction with the Mills Lake - Black Lake Trail, head south initially, crossing a couple streams that feed Black Lake. The trail turns southwest in the hills above Black Lake before covering steeper ground on the ascent to Frozen Lake. This trail ends on the eastern side of Frozen Lake. This pretty bowl surrounded by rocky slabs holds the petite Frozen Lake in its grasp. Great views of Spearhead and front of Chiefs Head.
