Description
You start with a short hike to the Batona Trail. You'll be surrounded by trees for a couple of miles. Follow the white blazes (which can be a little hard to see at times). About 2.5 miles in, you'll split from the Batona Trail and hike along Batsto Lake. The trail gets a little narrow, and there can be prominent roots, so make sure you watch your footing. There are a few spots along the trail to rest on a bench and enjoy the view of the lake. A little bit after you merge with the Batsto Blue Trail, you'll come to a service road. Go left to continue with the trail, or go right and walk through Batsto Village.
