Point to Point
This is a quick trip to some great falls that seldom see visitors. While everyone else is hiking other trails in Big Cottonwood Canyon, stop on by and see a hidden gem in the canyon! You won't be disappointed by the mist coming off the falls and the fun minor rock scrambling up to the waterfall. If you hike to the falls in spring there will be lots of snow melt, making the waterfalls exciting to see! The second falls are a little more tricky to get to and will require walking on the falls on large rocks to get above Moss Ledge Waterfall. From the trailhead you will quickly climb through thick vegetation until you come to the picnic area. This would be a great place to have a picnic! From here follow the trail up to the first falls. If you are hiking in spring time there will be lots of water cascading down the rocks. If you feel it is safe, hike on top of these rocks and continue on up to the main waterfall. After a little ways, and some more minor rock scrambling and the waterfalls will appear in view! They are absolutely beautiful and are a great place to relax out of the sun. This is a great little adventure that is not well known. Chances are, you may have driven past these falls without even knowing there is a great waterfall here! You can hike to just the lower falls or keep going to the Moss Ledge Falls - it's up to you!
