Seneca Creek Greenway Trail

This trail has many sharp turns and short steep hills. If you're afraid of getting lost, just follow the blue blazes. There are stream crossings and a natural rock bridge at Watkins Mill Road. Overall, the trail connects the Potomac and Patuxent Rivers. Road crossings occur every 1-2 miles, most of which have a small parking lots for easy access. Only parts of the trail are designated as multi-use. The trail starts at the Riley's Lock Trailhead on the Potomac River and continues to the crossing at Riffleford Road. Between Seneca State Park and Route 355 the trail passes under a stone railroad bridge. It then leads up into the Damascus Trail System after it passes Watkins Road.
