Point to Point
The trail can be done either way, and it is steep in either direction. From the intersection with Mac's Gap Trail #482, it ascends several wooden steps to the top where the trail traverses various sections of slickrock/balds.
The trail is steep in some sections, and quite precarious if you venture off the trail down near the edge. At the top of Little Green Mountain is a lookout point called Tranquility Point. This is a large area of bald/slickrock where people can simply sit and enjoy the view of the surrounding valley.
From the intersection with Panthertown Valley Trail #474, the hike up is a bit more arduous, requiring stepping up several sections of eroded roots. This side can be very slippery when wet.
Also, on this side of the trail is Schoolhouse Falls, a very popular (read: very crowded) attraction in the warmer months of the year. There is a large wading pool in front of the falls, and the river is very wide and shallow, making it a perfect place to hang out and relax.
