Little Divide Trail

The Little Divide trail is a less traveled connector between the Mink Lake Trail and the High Divide Trail. Starting at the intersection with Bogachiel River Trail and Mink Lake Trail, the Little Divide trail heads east along the ridge above Bogachiel River. The initial flat terrain dips sharply under a peak but then proceeds just below the spine at a pleasantly rolling grade. The forest here obscures all but the briefest peek-a-boo views of Bogachiel Valley and Mount Olympus. Begin a gentle uphill contour around tiny Bogachiel Lake and then reach a notch that divides the drainages. After passing through the notch, head steeply down the flank of a hillside above Deer Lake. Say goodbye to the solitude you've experienced on the Little Divide Trail. Once that trail ends at Deer Lake and the High Divide Trail, expect much more company on the trail.
