Rising Sun Trail

This doubletrack begins from the Solstice Canyon parking lot, located off of Corral Canyon Rd. Hike up the doubletrack at the end of the parking lot where the trailhead is. The trail will begin with some immediate switchbacking. Follow the trail up, continuing north, when you pass the old Space Tech Labs buildings. The trail offers great views of the coast and the canyon during this portion. After climbing up the trail for close to mile you'll descend in elevation until you reach the abandoned Roberts Ranch House that sits at the end of the trail. A waterfall, garden, and dam were left behind at this old estate, and the waterfall will still flow with enough rainfall. Thanks to John McKinney, The Trailmaster, for sharing this trail description.
