Point to Point
From the confluence of Mamie Creek and the Escalante River, this route heads west. At the time of this writing, the water in the River was intermittent (mid-June) and the sand flies were biting viciously. To add to this trails "extra" difficulties, there is not much respite from the sun, so be sure to start this journey early or in the evening.
To counter this trail's bevy of difficulties, it is very beautiful. With towering sandstone walls on both sides, massive cottonwood trees, and amazing geology, this trail is a treat for those that can handle the above paragraph.
