The Grist Mill Trail extends from the swinging bridge across the Patapsco River from River Road, near Illchester Road, to Glen Artney Road. It is a wide, paved trail that is popular with area hikers, joggers, cyclists, dog walkers, baby stroller pushers, etc. Grist Mill is most often used to access a number of trails on the Baltimore County side of the Park.
