Start at the Twin Bridges Parking and start heading up the service road. You'll climb on this until you reach the top of Otter Pop and the beginning of the Spencer Mountain Lookout Trail. The singletrack that starts straight ahead is what you are looking for; it has some steep and loose climbs/descents that transitions into smoother and better graded trail.
