Description
Pilot Trail is a challenging hike that leads from the eastern parking lot and Pilot Trail Trailhead to the western border of the Hercules Glades Wilderness Area. In the direction mapped, the trail mostly descends to the west, however, the terrain is a rather rugged dirt singletrack that traverses just below the Upper and Lower Pilot Knobs; scrambling to the tops of these offers elevated views across the valleys. There are several trail junctions along the way, but stay straight at each one. The trail ends at Long Creek.
