Description
Leaving the parking area you'll see a paved road heading east, but don't take that. Instead, make a sharp left heading north to begin this journey. You'll see wide grass with obvious tracks from the vehicles that maintain the surface (nicely mown grass at this point). Proceeding about 0.1 miles, you'll see a cross in the path. This is the horse trail connector taking you to the Foothills Trail on your right (another mixed-use trail) and the Dry Run Trail to your left (Horses only). Continue straight, and a very short distance later, you'll see a split in the trail. You can take a right or left here, as the trail loops back either way. The trail now begins moving from the well grassed surface to more dirt, as the tree cover in the growing season shades out the grass. Make your circle and return a happy hiker!
