Point to Point
This trail provides access between Anthony Chabot Family Campground and the foot of Live Oak Trail via the Lake Chabot shoreline. If you start from the foot of Live Oak Trail, also one end of the Bridge Connector and Floodplain Connector from Cameron Loop Trail, proceed along the shoreline with Lake Chabot to your left. In about 0.4 mile, you'll pass the foot of Huck's Trail. This trail continues along the shoreline for a while, then begins to climb the hillside, providing fine views of the lake. On a hot day, however, this climb can be strenuous.
Soon you'll enter a shaded area and meet the south end of Columbine Trail. This trail continues uphill for another quarter mile, reaching its end at a paved road within the Anthony Chabot Family Campground and at one end of the Towhee Trail.
