Froom Creek Trail

This trail is rocky, less than picturesque, and slightly out of the way. Take Froom Creek Trail if you want to get to the top of Mariposa Trail while avoiding the paved section; this trail is not for a destination in and of itself. Park at the !Mariposa Trailhead and take the fork left towards King Trail. Shortly, the trail will fork again; continue left and follow signs for Froom Creek Connector. The trail merges with Froom Creek Trail, continuing right and uphill. Continue up a moderate grade for 1.5 miles, staying straight at any offshoots or forks. Froom Creek Trail officially terminates at a connection with Poppy Connector and most people take Poppy Connector to climb to the top of the ridge to Mariposa Trail. In the future, hikers will have the ability to continue up Froom Creek via a connector between Ocean View Trail and Froom Creek Trail.
