The Aspen trail is a short out and back trail in the foothills of the Teton Mountains that is a popular local favorite. Just minutes from Driggs, Idaho, this singletrack trail offers amazing foliage colors, wildlife, and spectacular views of Idaho's Teton Valley.
This well-marked, meandering trail through the Aspen canopy contours the Teton foothills, providing a variety of terrain that any level of expertise can enjoy. Hikers, bikers, and horseback riders alike will enjoy small hills with smooth sections of trail, that in spots, can quickly turn into rocky and more technical terrain. Of the technical terrain, it still only requires intermediate abilities to navigate. This route also has a couple of easy creek crossings, that provide good water holes for horses, dogs, and humans; so long as you packed your water filter.
Enjoy this trail as an out and back, or shuttle a car for a fun point-to-point trail. Regardless of which way you choose to explore this trail, you cannot go wrong. This trail is well maintained, beautiful, and easy to access.
