Description
This trail follows the east bank of the Shavers Lake shoreline. It has numerous small gradient changes throughout the hike. Intermittent sections have spruce roots growing across the tread, and there are a couple sections where you'll want to watch your footing. At the north end of the trail, you'll find the Shavers Lake Beach, The Boathouse, and Ballhooter Chairlift. This hike can be incorporated into a longer hike, beginning at Cheat Mtn Ridge Trail to 6000 Steps to Shavers Lake Trail, climbing Shavers Lake Road to Powder Puff, which lands you back on the summit.
