Description
The north fork of the Tall Poplar Trail branches off shortly after the main path leads down from the trailhead. This path curves around the ranger station and a no-mow conservation field. After passing the field, the trail pops out right in front of the McKeldin Contact Station. The contact station offers information and a small inventory of trail gear for sale and is adjacent to the first parking lot of the area and a bathroom. True to its name, Tall Poplar Trail is covered in old growth tulip poplar trees creating a high canopy for the trail with an impressive view.
