Point to Point
This trail is only accessible via the 4WD Laurel Lakes Road, which starts off Sherwin Creek Road outside Mammoth.
At about 4.25 miles up the Laurel Lakes Road, keep your eyes open for a trail on the left side of the road. It can be easy to miss as there are no trail markers. Take this trail and follow it up the hillside to the saddle between Laurel Mountain (to your left) and Bloody Mountain (to your right). Drop down the other side of the saddle and follow the trail past Edith Lake and on to Cloverleaf Lake.
You can also connect with the Convict Creek Trail, which goes by Lake Genevive, Lake Dorothy, and Mildred Lake on its way back to the Convict Lake Trailhead. Convict Lake is accessible by vehicle from Highway 395.
