The west end of this trail starts at the large North and West Beach Parking Area at West Point. It heads east along North Beach through a medium-sized parking lot at Gun Point that has trash cans and restrooms. Continue east through the woods and this trail starts climbing up to the bridge. From the top, hike across the bridge or continue on to the Goose Rock Summit trail and scenic point.
