Description
The Mingo takes you on a 3 mile wooded trip through Sand Run metropark. This trail takes you up through the woods into the Nature Realm area. Leashed dogs are allowed on the Mingo but not at the Nature Realm. Once you enter the Nature Realm take care not to stray off of the Mingo onto the other trails. There will be signs prohibiting pets to help you stay on track. This trail has gorgeous views of the area with plenty of very old beech and tulip trees. On the way back you'll walk on a singletrack ledge that has a steep drop on one side and a steep hill on the other. That might be the most rugged part of the trail.
