DuPont State Recreational Forest is a very popular multiuse, bi-directional trail system, so be on the lookout for hikers, horses, and bikers. It is normally open in any weather although it can close in extended periods of freeze / thaw during the winter.

Corn Mill Shoals starts off of Cascade Lake Road across from the Corn Mill Shoals parking area. The trail ascends through a few switchbacks after crossing over the Little River and descends steeply down to the Bridal Veil Falls. It connects to Longside, Big Rock, Burnt Mountain, Little River, Shoals, Laurel Ridge, Bridal Overlook, Shelter Rock, and Bridal Veil Falls Road.
