Description
As an extension of Leavitt Lake Road #32077 past the turnpike, this trail leads all the way to the top of the range and joins the Pacific Crest Trail. Most of the trail is on loose scree. The first half mile offers great views of Leavitt Lake and is lined with a few trees. Afterwards, you are just zigzagging up the bare mountain side gently, but steadily. Given that this is the north side of the mountain, there will likely be snow on the trail until the early summer making route finding somewhat challenging. Views from the very top are a stunning reward.
