Point to Point
This road serves as a connector between Big Falls Trail and Little Falls Trail (14E03). In its entirety, it connects Lopez Lake in the west with Big Falls/Lopez Canyon Trailhead in the east towards Lopez Lake. Approaching from Big Falls Trail climb out of the creek at the end of the trail and take a left at the sign. Taking a right past the gate would take you up Lopez Trail and to Mt. Lowe. Approaching from Little Falls Trail (14E03) cross a creek the road is at the termination of the trail.
The road itself is well maintained as it is used for residential access in Upper Lopez Canyon. It is in a canyon shaded with large oak trees and follows a river so it is scenic in-and-of itself. After rain storms, the river crosses the road at a half dozen or so spots with the deepest crossing being knee height. There will be light traffic from residents and rednecks who have gone "off-roading" so be careful.
