Point to Point
Starting from the Tarn (the marshy pond between Dorr and Champlain Mountains), Kurt Diederichs Climb twists and turns partway up the eastern face of Dorr Mountain. It's a good alternative to the Emery Path if you're tackling Dorr Mountain from Sieur de Monts Spring.
From the trailhead, Kurt Diederichs Climb twists and turns upwards. Impressive stone steps constitute much of the trail. As you climb higher and higher, you'll be treated to nice views of the Tarn and Champlain Mountain. Continue climbing as views of Frenchman Bay unfold to the northeast. The trail ends at the junction of the Schiff Path, which heads to the top of Dorr Mountain, and the Emery Path, which drops to Sieur de Monts Spring.
