Description
This is a short hike to a beautiful set of waterfalls that anyone staying in the area should take the time to explore. The hike begins at the Wyeth Campground day use area, and if it's closed you can park on the side of the road and walk in from the road way. Continue down the trail until you see an intersection with a wooden bridge crossing the river. Take a few pictures and continue straight on the trail. You'll reach Emerald Falls after about a half mile on trail. It appears as though there might have been a small landslide here, so be careful navigating around for pictures or exploring. These falls offer a picturesque scene with mossy covered rocks and stunning waterfalls. This and other hikes in the area make a weekend stay at Wyeth Campground a great escape from Portland.
