Description
Most people use this to connect various other trails (especially on the Zippity Loop or Joe's Ridge), but its really a great trail by itself. Starting at the upper parking lot, it heads through pleasant small hills and trees until Joe's Ridge departs on the left. The trail gets a bit rougher for the next mile. After passing Zippity Do Da on the left, there is a set of steep swtichbacks down into a wash. The trail intersects Western Zippity, which is a great descent option back to the lower parking lot. The last portion of Frontside is not used frequently unless tackling the Edge Loop. From the intersection with Western Zippity, the trail climbs slightly at first before diving into a steep descent that shoots you across the bottom of the mesa. From there, theres one last climb before reaching out to the road.
