While accessible year-round, the top holds snow much longer than most BV area trails.
Path Type
Point to Point
A true summit hike, this steep & rocky trail, while challenging, is worth it for the views.
Midland Hill Trail begins climbing immediately, & although it does flatten out & even drop in a few spots, doesn't relent much, with some of the steepest climbing near the summit. The trail is pretty straightforward, but stay alert for the numerous switchbacks as you climb.
Once you reach the summit, you'll be rewarded with 360 degree views, with Mt. Princeton & the Sawatch Range to the west, & the Fourmile Recreation Area to the north & east.
