Jewell

Starting from the Cross Marin trail, the Jewell trail begins by climbing steeply up hillside switchbacks before settling into a consistent ascent up an open ridge line. Lower down, look for the former Omar/Jewell ranch homesite. The windswept grasslands of the ridge are punctuated by white rocky outcrops covered in lichen. Enjoy the views of Barnabe Peak to the east and Pine Mountain to the south. Finally at the top, the Jewell Trail intersects with the Bolinas Ridge trail at a T intersection. Note: bikes are allowed on this trail.
