After beginning on pavement, this trail turns into a well-maintained singletrack. The rules of the trail are posted at the park. Due to easy access, this is a popular spot. During January, Christmas trees from the city are chipped and put down on the trail to make it more usable during wet weather. There are 3 bridges that allow visitors to cross over a small creek, and you'll enjoy the large shade that the trees provide and the easily-navigable rock steps along the steeper parts of the trail.
If you would like a longer outing, this trail connects up with Maple Trail and Dogwood Trail. As always, Leave No Trace principles should be followed, but due to the popularity of this trail please consider doing one better and picking up any litter that you find.
