Description
Start at Norfolk Southern Railroad and hike past the garden plots, keeping them to your left. There are stepping stones to get across the creek, then turn left to stay on the well-worn trail. When the trail comes out into a soccer field, stay along the edge keeping the fields on your right until you see a trail off to your left. The trail quickly comes to a pedestrian underpass to cross under 5th Street. It can be dark and a little sketchy, but I've never seen any tags or people hanging around. After this, the trail crosses a small bridge back across Moore's Creek, after which you'll turn right to parallel it until you reach the 5th Street Station Parkway, where there are other parking options at gas stations and restaurants.
