Description
The Adam Run Trail first takes you down a hill to the bottom of the Cuyahoga Valley. You'll hike through a pine tree grove on a gentle slope which gives you a great chance to stretch you legs and warm up. The slope steepens as you near the bottom giving you a chance to cruise to the bottom. There are wooden steps as you go through this section so be careful. The trail then takes you along and through a beautiful bubbling stream which the path requires you to cross at multiple locations. Most of the crossings do not have a bridge forcing you to get your feet wet or use the rocks to cross. However, this is truly a beautiful stream and well worth the effort. This is a flat area that can be quite muddy in the spring and fall. During the winter, this section will freeze over, allowing you to quicken your pace. The path then takes you back up the hill which leads to the original ridge line. Again, you'll be required to climb a few sets of stairs as you go up this hill. At the top of the ridge, the path turns to the right and you hike along a grassy open field. This field will then lead you back to the trailhead where you're sure to have enjoyed this piece of nature.

Beautiful hike, mostly wooded. The section along Adams Run is very nice. We saw a mink catch a fish in the creek.
