Crow's Nest/Tallmadge Woods Trail

Park at Mount Baldhead Steps (no parking at Crows Nest trailhead). Walk north to the very end of Park Street. Go left (West)and proceed up the hill about 50 yards; the trailhead is on the right. You start on a low path that passes close to the Ox-Bow School of Art. The trail gradually rises to a peak called the Crow's Nest, where the view will knock your socks off! On the way back you follow a ridge high above the river. The trail gets steep at several points and there are lots of roots. The trail is located in Tallmadge Woods, a conservation easement owned by the City of Saugatuck and managed by the Land Conservancy of West Michigan.
