Description
Start off at the last parking lot in the Rancho San Antonio park, where the bathroom facility is. Head for the main trailhead and cross over the bridge to turn right onto the main path.Enjoy soaking up the culture as you'll pass many people of different cultures, and ages. Turn left as you pass the tennis courts and continue on the dirt path towards the farm. Pass the farm and continue straight through the fence. Shortly you'll come to a trailhead on the left at mile 1.5, where you'll turn left onto the Wildcat Loop Trail. Start your ascent on the shaded singletrack. Each switchback is numbered on the fences with a total of 7. When you finish the switchbacks and get to the summit, head up to the vista point to take in the views of the bay. Head back down off the vista point and turn left to continue the Wildcat Loop Trail. The descent is kinda fun and has some tight turns and some rooty sections in places. When you get to the bottom, turn left and make your way down through the canyon. This canyon is very nice at a slight downhill grade, but not so steep where you feel like you need to put the brakes on. It is much cooler and often damp in the canyon, which makes this route great for hot summer days. Keep going straight until you get to the farm. Turn right and head back down the main path to the parking lot.
