This trail is currently not being maintained by the National Park Service because it houses critical habitat for the Cape Sable thoroughwort. The trail continues to be open, but visitors should be mindful of the potential for obstructions along the trail.
Path Type
There and Back
Access the trailhead for this hike by heading a little less than a mile north from the Flamingo Visitor Center to the Christian Point Trail Roadside Parking Area. Starting at the Christian Point Trail Roadside Parking Area, the trail meanders gently through lush, green, mangrove forests and coastal grasslands before ending at the water's edge along the shore of Snake Bight (a small local bay). Hike this trail near high tide for a higher possibility of seeing coastal wildlife.
