West Mountain Trail

This trail can be accessed several different ways. From any of the attached intersecting trails, the West Mountain Trail gets you access to the top lookout. It's an easy trail with a slight grade but good trail coverings. Small gravel and packed dirt make the trail a favorite for locals that like to do a bit of hiking. Starting at Whittington Park on the Mountain Top Trail and connecting into West Mountain Trail can provide a nice loop trail experience. There is off street parking on the Whittington Park side and a National Park office with free spring water access on the sidewalk. This is a great place to fill your water bottles for free with local spring water.
